Born in 1974 in Kent I led a pretty uneventful life up to the age of about 14 when I embarked upon a foray into GCSE Art and Design. After this I continued my artistic journey with A-Level Art quickly followed by a National Diploma in Art and Design. What followed can then only be best described as youthfull arrogance that saw me bumming about for a good few years from an artistic point of view, an quick drawing here, a tattoo design there. What I did achieve during this time was an experience of the world, an appreciation of hard work as well as the innumerable skills that one acquires through gainful employment. During this period of my life I had the arrogance well and truly replaced with drive and passion. about five years ago I decided to get back onto the bike and see if I could still ride. I then spent a year completing a PDA in design under the tutorship of Richard Kerridge, before moving onto my degree. Drawing on a life long love of gaming (both traditional and computer) and films I decided to embark upon Digital 3D Design, which towards the end of the course became what is now known as CG Arts and Animation. Under the excellent stewardship of Alan Postings and Phil Gomm I enjoyed and excelled at instilling atmosphere into the projects I worked on, especially environments.
During his time on this course I have developed a greater awareness of character design, environment design, an appreciation of cinematic language and structure as well as technical skills in software such as Autodesks Maya, Adobes Creative Suite, Corel Painter and Vue 7. My last two projects have both have heavy environment design elements to them although I do consider myself diverse at all aspects of design including vehicle and character creation.
I currently live in Walderslade, near Chatham with my partner, three kids and a psychopathic ginger cat.
